Close to 480 horses made their way to Kreuth, Germany, where the 2018 NRHA European Derby, open to 5-, 6-, 7- and 8-year-old horses, alongside the NRHA European Affiliate Championship, is being held. 

Under the bright lights of the Jim Norick Arena awaited an arena full of good dirt, excited spectators and eager competitors. All were ready to begin section two of the 2018 National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Non Pro Derby Finals, which had the highest amount of entries and purse payout...

Before the beginning of the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Western National Finals, hosted during the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Derby, contestants, families and trainers came to the NRHA office for food, inflatables, roping and more!

Members of the National Reining Horse Youth Association (NRHyA) submitted applications for the RHF scholarships. The recipients were chosen by an independent committee based upon their academic achievement, financial need, future goals and involvement in NRHyA and the reining horse industry.

The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) champions opportunities to develop the future of the sport of reining. One great illustration of this is the return of the Collegiate Judging Contest at the 2017 National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Futurity & Adequan® North American Affiliate Championship Show.

After reaching the nine-million-dollar mark earlier this year, NRHA Hall of Famer, the late Gunner (AQHA Colonels Smoking Gun, APHA Colonels Smokingun), has reached another milestone. At the 2017 National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Futurity & Adequan® North American Affiliate Championship Show, he became NRHA’s second Ten Million Dollar Sire.

For veteran NRHA Futurity competitors Mandy McCutcheon and Kelle Smith, it’s still exciting to have your name associated with the high score at the end of Finals night. But it’s even more thrilling to go head-to-head in a run-off to determine the CINCH NRHA Level (L)4 Non Pro Futurity Champion.

Deary and Tinker With Dreams lead the Level 4 Open composite score as Fappani and All American Vintage score a 221.5 to top the Semifinal.

The 2017 National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) $575,500-added NRHA Open Futurity counted 370 horses entered in the four divisions. Following the first go-round, 75 horses (plus ties) in each level advanced to the Level (L)1, 2, and 3 Semifinals held today in Oklahoma City.

Shauna Larcombe and Setting Off Smart (Smart Spook x Setting Off Sparks) earned the Adequan® North American Affiliate Championship Show​ (NAAC) Novice Horse Open Level 1 Championship.
