Sedamo K, Hannoveraner Champ, achieves top price

At the 138th Elite-Auction in Verden Sedamo K, achieved the top price of 305,000 Euros. The most expensive jumper also easily cleared the 100,000 euro

Bologna, October 24, 2021 – The Secret/Dancier son Sedamo K (breeder and exhibitor: Hof Kleemeyer, Sudweyhe) was the star of the collection at the 138th Elite-Auction in Verden.

The brown had not only won the Hannoveraner Championships for three-year-old mares and geldings, but had also received excellent scores at the Bundeschampionat.

Twelve bidders submitted 186 bids until the price was fixed. He was sold for 305,000 Euros to a well-known training stable in North Rhine-Westphalia, which had often found quality horses at the source in Verden in the past years.

Sedamo K will not travel alone. Francesco by Flanell/Lauries Crusador xx (breeder: Thomas Heuer, Bienenbüttel, exhibitor: Michael Schenk, Niendorf) will accompany him.

For the three-year-old, whose granddam Delicia produced the Grand Prix successful privately owned stallion Cadeau Noir, the virtual auction hammer fell at 161,000 Euros.

Jumping selection

The most expensive jumper also easily cleared the 100,000 euro hurdle. Raised at the Hunnesrück stallion breeding stud, Stepstone by Stolzenberg/Quintender (breeder: Ulrike von Stietencron, Emmerthal, exhibitor: State Stud Celle) was sold for 116,000 Euros.

The athletic bay stallion was purchased at auction by MK Sporthorses from Starnberg and will go to the stable of the internationally successful show jumper Max Kühner.

The club of the “one hundred thousand” has four more new members. Bombastic by Bon Coeur/Wilawander xx (breeder: Heinz-Eduard Börger, Loxtedt, exhibitor: Heinz-Georg Kück, Worpswede), whose dam is the full sister of the stamp stallion World Cup, was worth 126,000 Euros to a regular customer from Spain.

The bids for another Bon Coeur son, Bon D’Amour by Bon Coeur/Ladabilis (breeder: Uwe Brennenstuhl, Lüchow, exhibitor: Zuchthof Düvel, Katlenburg-Lindau), stopped at 101,000 Euros. brown stallion once made his first public appearance at the Verden Foal Auction.

This also had Die Tänzerin by Don Monet/St. Moritz Junior (breeder: Martin Hanschen, Ehrenburg, exhibitor: Fabian Janda), who was auctioned off to Bavaria for 118,000 Euros. Deichtanz by Diamond Hit/Lauries Crusador xx (breeder: Stefanie Meyer, Allwörden, exhibitor: Jochen Meyer, Allwörden) cost 115,000 Euros.

Overall picture

With 49 horses, over 60 percent of the collection at the 138th Elite Auction Online achieved prices of over 25,000 Euros. 35 auction horses will promote Hannover and the Rhineland all over the world. France appears six times in the sales statistics, followed by the USA, Canada, Austria and Spain with three purchases each.

The 138th Elite Auction will be followed by further highlights in Verden. From 4 to 6 November, the stallion licensing and stallion sales of dressage stallions will take place. On 20 November, around 50 riding horses will be auctioned online, ready for trying from 10 November. The crowning finale of the year will be the stallion licensing and stallion sales of the show jumping stallions from 2 to 4 December, during which the Hannoveraner Show Jumping Masters will also be held.
