Falco and Tim Price in Pau

Bologna, November 1, 2021 – With a perfect start-finish victory, the Cardenio/Weinberg son Falco (Norbert Nowak from Haren is his breeder) and Tim Price from New Zealand won the CCI5*-L in Pau. This makes the twelve-year-old the second Hannoveraner five-star winner of the year.

In June, Charly van ter Heiden and British Molly Summerland had won the prestigious event in Luhmühlen.

Falco and Tim Price had already set a best mark after the dressage. They were still in the lead after the cross-country and jumping. Despite 0.4 time penalties in the final show jumping course, the lead over the runner-up in the final classification was over 7 points.

The New Zealander trained his 2009-born Hannoveraner himself.

Falco is the ninth offspring of the Weinberg/Pilot daughter Witta to cause a sensation in the sport. One of the most successful is the licensed stallion Laith by Lord Z, who won the Grand Prix of Valencia/ESP (1.60 metres) with the Irishman Shane Breen.

The six-year older Leszek by Landclassic was successful for Switzerland in Nations Cups with rider Werner Muff.
