Bologna, February 23, 2021 – Products of the companies Bucas Ltd., UVEX SPORTS GmbH & Co. KG, Horseware Products Ltd and Dr. Jacoby GmbH & Co. KG were distinguished.
This year’s winners make the equestrian sport safer and enables the sport to be practised in a sustainable way.
The six interdisciplinary judges nominated the 30 most innovative products awarding them the title Proof Of Innovation.
These entries included new approaches in a host of categories such as safety, ergonomics and the health of the horse and rider, digitalization as well as concepts for sustainable production.
From among these 30 nominees, only five products were selected as winners and these are the Spoga Horse Top Innovations 2021.
Even without a physical trade fair being staged in Cologne, for the first time this year, Spoga Horse – the leading global trade fair of the international equestrian industry – invited the industry to present products to an interdisciplinary jury in the scope of the Spoga Horse Top Innovations 2021.
Companies from ten countries followed this call and submitted over 60 innovative products in total. This response underlines the strong innovative power of the industry and the significance of spoga horse as the international platform for innovations of the entire equestrian industry. The winners
The following five products are the Spoga Horse Top Innovations 2021:
Green-Line Turnout, the environmentally-friendly horse rug made of recycled materials by the company Bucas Ltd. (Ireland).
uvex elexxion Tocsen, the hybrid riding hat by the company UVEX SPORTS GmbH & Co. KG (Germany). The riding hat features an intelligent emergency call system, comprising of an integrated fall sensor, combined with a smartphone app. This system recognises falls automatically and can place an emergency call automatically.
uvex exxential II LED by the company UVEX SPORTS GmbH & Co. KG (Germany) is a riding hat with an innovative helmet lighting system for the increased visibility and safety of the rider. The integrated LED spots (white at the side, red at the back) are not visible in the stand-by mode and are activated at the push of a button.
Amigo AmEco 12 Plus Turnout by the company Horseware Products Ltd. (Ireland) is a horse rug made of the recycling fabric rPET, which is completely made from recycled plastic bottles.
leoveties by the company Dr. Jacoby GmbH & Co. KG (Germany), the 100% compostable packaging of the treats is made from a combination between kraft paper and PLA (100% biological, produced from corn and sugar starch) and can be entirely disposed of with the organic waste.
