Top of the Top in Milan 2023

Bologna, August 9, 2023 – Great excitement is assured at the Snai San Siro racecourse in Milan, the exceptional setting for the 2023 edition of the FEI Jumping European Championship (August 30 – September 3).

Eighty-eight riders, representing 25 nations, will be the undisputed protagonists of four days of sport at the highest level.

The absolute value of the participants in the 37th edition of the FEI Jumping European Championship is highlighted by the recently-published FEI Jumping Longines Rankings.

Seven riders of the top 10 and 16 riders of the top 25 will be ready to compete in Milan.

Above all the leading poker with Henrik Von Eckermann from Sweden, the undisputed world number 1, Julien Epaillard from France, Harrie Smolders from the Netherlands and Martin Fuchs from Switzerland (European Champion 2019 in Rotterdam).

The reigning European champion, Germany’s Andre Thieme will compete together with DSP Chakaria, the mare that helped him win the title in 2021 in Riesenbeck.

There will be 16 teams competing for the team title (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Hungary and Italy), and 9 nations represented for the individual title (Bulgaria, Greece, Liechtenstein, Israel, Macedonia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Turkey and Ukraine).
