Hannoveraner free jumping

Bologna, March 23, 2021 – On Wednesday, March 31, Hannover‘s promising show jumping talents will meet for the free jumping competition in Verden.

In the Niedersachsenhalle, 51 three-year-olds and 35 four-year-olds will be judged by the internationally successful rider and trainer Mario Stevens and Thomas Schönig from the Hannoveraner Verband.

Due to Corona, the exciting competition in its 24th edition will take place without spectators.

The free jumping competition starts at 9 a.m. and will be broadcasted live on the internet at Hannoveraner TV.

The Hannoveraner show jumping breeding programme has become a trademark. At the free jumping competition, which took place for the first time in 1997, a number of later internationally successful show jumpers made their first public appearance.

Jack Whitaker’s black mare Scenletha, for example, celebrated top placings in 1.50 metre jumping competitions in February this year.

The daugther of Scendix/Contendro, bred by Egon Schröder from Hittbergen, was second in the free jumping competition in 2014 and reserve champion mare at the Herwart von der Decken Show before she went into international sport.

The free jumping competition is judged on ability and scope as well as overall impression and jumping intelligence. Characteristics which, coupled with the modern pedigrees and valuable dam lines, distinguish the modern Hannoveraner show jumper.

For the first time, the free jumping competition 2021 will be open to all three- and four-year-old Hannoveraner and horses from the Rhineland.

The judges will be the internationally successful rider and trainer Mario Stevens and Thomas Schönig from the Hannoveraner Verband.

The free jumping competition starts at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 31. Spectators are not allowed in the Niedersachsenhalle in Verden. Entries and time schedule are published on the internet CLICK HERE .

The competition will be broadcast live on Hannoveraner TV.
